Hi Jamie,
Glad to see you back? I had a similar situation but not exactly like yours when I turned 16 !
I talked my Dad into let me use the car one friday night and He told me to be home by 11:00 oclock because he had to leave by 3:00 am to go to work! He was a truck driver ! I had cruised over to Cairo Ga from Thomasville and forgot what time it was ! It was 10:45 pm and in my haste I back up to fast and put a Hole in the gas tank when I backed over a concrete post which I didn't see?
I had to fill up car with gas just to get back to Thomasville and put about 5 gallons in tank? When I got home I took a foot tub and stuck under car to catch gas ? When my Dad got ready to leave the car gas guage showed empty ! He woke me up and I'll have to say that the things he said to me wasn't nice ! But I did make things a little better when I showed him the foot tub full of gas under the car!
I was restricted for 6 months from using car! Very valuable lesson I learned the hard way.

Blessings.
 Ron.

Great story and so true! It is so important to tell our kids how to do the things we want them to know and do. Sometimes even more than once.:) Great post.
